Funeral Service for Britt William Owens, 30, of Baker, MT, will be 10:00 a. m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at the American Lutheran Church, Baker, with Pastors Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will follow at Bonnievale Cemetery. There will be a time for Britt’s Family to receive friends, from 5:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker. Britt passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 surrounded by his family at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, from heart failure. Britt William Owens was born February 7, 1985 to Thomas and Pamela (Setinc) Owens in Miles City, MT. When he was eight months old, Britt was diagnosed with Hurlers Syndrome. To combat the short life expectancy that accompanies Hurler Syndrome, Britt had a bone marrow transplant in 1988, from his twin sister Breeann. The transplant was a success, as it allowed Britt to be a blessing to his family for over 30 years. Britt enjoyed growing up in Baker, attending school and graduating from Baker High School in 2006. He went to work with his mom and sister every day at the Tavern. On the weekends, Britt would go out and stay with his Dad on the Ranch. He enjoyed road trips with his mom and Grandma Gwen. He was always excited to get out of town for the day, even if it was for a doctor’s appointment. Britt loved being around family and friends. He always looked forward to gatherings for brandings, holidays and special occasions. Britt’s family is very grateful for the countless caregivers that have helped Britt over the last 30 years. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Pam, Baker, MT; twin Sister, Breeann Owens, Baker, MT; sister, Angela Krieger and her children, Jada and Marcus, of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Kelly (Jodi) and their children, Kady and Voss, of Coon Rapids, MN; Grandmothers, Gwen Setinc and June Gillison both of Baker, MT; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Britt is preceded by his brother T. J. Owens; grandfathers, Martin Setinc, LaVerne Owens, Bill Gillison; grandmother Colleen Owens; great-grandmothers, Vivian Celander. In Lieu of flowers Britt’s family suggest memorials to the American Lutheran Church.
