Bruce passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at CHI St. Alexius Health, Dickinson.

Bruce Wayne Wolf was born July 13, 1955 in Hazen, ND, the son of Herbert and Freida (Koehler) Wolf. He grew up on the family farm northeast of Halliday and attended Halliday Public Schools; graduating with the class of 1973. Following graduation, Bruce enlisted in the United States Army, serving with the 2D Infantry Division in Korea. Upon being honorably discharged on July 1, 1975, he returned to North Dakota and attended Bismarck Junior College where he received an Associate Degree in Applied Science. It was during this time that he met Dawn Kruckenberg. On December 16, 1978, the two were united in marriage at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Halliday. To this union two sons were born: Levi and Luke. Together, the couple raised their family in and around the Dodge area for several years before moving to Killdeer. While living in Killdeer, Bruce worked as a CDL driver for Matador and Koch Services. In 1992, Bruce began working as a salesman for Sax Motors in Dickinson. Bruce and Dawn moved to Dickinson in 2001 and have made it their home ever since. In 2008, he opened his independent trucking company, Pony Xpress.

Bruce loved watching and following rodeo, especially when his sons were participating. He was an avid football fan who above all enjoyed a good Packers loss. Bruce enjoyed hunting and collecting guns. He would often be found driving around in his freshly cleaned pickup stopping by to catch up with old friends. Family was important to Bruce and he was grateful for any time that he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Dawn of Dickinson; sons, Levi of Watford City and Luke (Kayla) of Bismarck; grandchildren, Alyssa Buckman and her sister, Danielle Salter, Chase Wolf, Aidan Beutler, and Sutton & Rowan Wolf; brother, Donald (Marlys) Wolf of Bismarck; sisters, Corrine (Dale) Fisher of Hazen, and Donna (Alvin) Weidner of Halliday; mother-in-law, Madella Brinkman; step-father-in-law, Curt Brinkman;sisters-in-law, Jackie (Rich) Bolton of Hazen, Jeri (Perry) Braunagel of Dickinson, Vickie (Wylie) Bice of Killdeer, and Debbie (Dean) Rodne of Medora; 20 nieces and nephews; and 11 great-nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Freida Wolf; and father-in-law, Norman Kruckenberg.
