Bruno Wehri, age 86 of Hebron, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, May 15, 2006 at 10:00 AM Central Time at St. Ann?s Catholic Church in Hebron with Father Sebastian Schmidt OSB as celebrant. Visitation will begin at 3pm on Sunday at St. Ann?s where a Vigil Service and Rosary will be held at 5:00 pm. Visitation will continue prior to the services. Burial will be in St. Clement?s Cemetery rural Hebron. Bruno was born February 6, 1920 at Haymarsh, ND the son of Albert and Eva (Seeberger) Wehri. He was raised and educated in the Haymarsh area. He served in the US Army during World War II in the102 Division. He met Irmgard Koenig while in Germany, their friendship blossomed into love and they were married January 28, 1946. Following the war Bruno returned to the United States, but because of immigration laws Irmgard had to remain in Germany another 21 months. They lived with Bruno?s parents for one year while they helped out on the farm. They then moved to the Fred Treiber west farm where they farmed for three years. Bruno worked for the railroad stationed out of Glen dive for one year, he then returned to the area and farmed on the Assumption Abbey farm about five miles northeast of Hebron. They purchased this farm where they raised their family as well as small grains and livestock. After 23 years they moved into Hebron and purchased the Brick City Motel which they still operate. For 19 years Bruno helped out at the Spangelo Funeral Home going on hundreds of funerals and being support to hundreds of families. Bruno enjoyed taking care of his horses, working at his barn and visiting over coffee with the guys. He was a member of the St. Ann?s Church, American Legion post #100, and a past Hebron Business Club president. He leaves to share the legacy of his love his wife: Irmgard, Hebron; two sons: Howard (San Dee), GlenUllin, ND; Gordon (Miyoko), Lawton, OK; and three daughters: Laura (Jeff) Lowe, Bismarck, ND; Adele (Jerry) Sigl, Bismarck, ND; and Mary Ann (Lenard) Luithle, Richardton along with 10 Grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother Leonard (Irene) of Hebron, three sisters, Sister Mary Albert Wehri, Sister Catherine Adele Wehri, Merrill, WI; Alda (Jake) Goldade, Scholfield, WI.
