A Memorial Mass for Calvin H. Lund, 72, of Port Orchard, Washington formerly of Carlyle and Baker, Montana will be at 11:00 a. m. Saturday, August 18, 2007 at St. Phillips Catholic Church at St. Phillips, Montana with the Rev. Father Thomas Tobin celebrating. Inurnment will follow the family lot in the St. Phillip Cemetery. Calvin passed away on August 13, 2007 at his home in Port Orchard, Washington after a lengthy illness. Cal was born to Calvin and Lydia (Stark) Lund August 4, 1935, in Beach, North Dakota. He attended elementary and secondary school in Baker, MT, graduating in 1954. He graduated from the University of Montana in 1958 with a degree in Business Administration. In May of 1961 he married his wife Ann and they celebrated their 46th anniversary this year. Cal spent most of his working career as a banker. He moved to Port Orchard, Washington in 1988. Cal belonged to various organizations including The Lion?s Club and Chamber of Commerce in Baker, Montana, and the Knights of Columbus in Gig Harbor, Washington. He was a cancer survivor for 21 years. Cal is survived by his wife, Ann, daughter and son-in-law Marie and Scott Reistad of Colorado Springs, Colorado, daughter and son-in-law Kim and Rick Miske of Wibaux, Montana, son and daughter-in-law Chris and Dinah Lund of Rocklin, California, and daughter Cathie Lund of Port Orchard, Washington. Grandchildren Aaron, Nathan and Caleb Reistad, Abigail, Olivia and Zachary Miske, and Sydney Lund. He is also survived by a sister Peg Hayek of California, brothers-in-law George (Marlene) Axlund and Robin Axlund of Wyoming. Sisters-in-law Dianne Jacobson of Wyoming and Linda Axlund of Utah. Cal will be remembered for his love of family, kind heart and sunny disposition. He was an avid sports fan and cheered on his favorite teams. In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to the St. Nicholas Cambodian mission fund or memorials may be made in the form of masses. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker.
