Carol McKinley

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Fairview Cemetery in Camp Crook, SD. Carol Electa (Padden) McKinley, was born on September 28, 1932 in Camp Crook, South Dakota to the late Easton and Sylvia Padden. Carol departed this life on April 18, 2016, at Munster Med Inn in Munster, Indiana surrounded by her family. Carol graduated from Carter County High School in Ekalaka, Montana (1950). Carol graduated from the Holy Rosary Hospital’s nursing program in Miles City, Montana. Carol worked many years as a registered nurse. Carol married Gerald “Mac” McKinley in 1953 in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. They lived in Lansing, Illinois and were married 25 years when Mac passed away from cancer in 1978. To this union, four children were born which were Jim, Dan, Sylvia and John. Carol was preceded in death by her husband Mac; her parents Easton and Sylvia Padden; siblings Paul Padden and Betsy May Kuntz. Carol leaves to cherish her memories: one brother Benny (Dorothy) Padden; one brother-in-law Val Kuntz; one daughter, Sylvia (Jim); three sons, Jim, Dan (Cindy) and John; seven grandchildren Danielle, Samantha, Laurie, Taylor, John, Kyle and Sadie; devoted neighbors, Ray and Tracy VanWitzenburg and a host of family and friends.
