Caroline M. Honeyman was born August 19, 1936, on the family farm north of Mott to John and Clementine (Dauenhauer) Kautzman. She attended grade school at St. Placidus and Steiner Township schools in Mott. She attended and graduated high school at St. Mary’s High School in New England in 1955. She worked for a period of time at the Mott Coop Store until she met the love of her life, Julius. The two were united in marriage on May 4, 1959, and moved to the family farm north of Regent where they raised their family. Caroline was an active member of St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Regent where she taught CCD and was a very active member of the Women’s Guild along with other various ministries. Caroline’s focus and joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed going to all their sporting and school events.
Caroline loved to crochet, embroider, read and play games and cards. She will be remembered for preparing delicious meals for any number of people who might show up. She prided herself on having a clean home. Caroline loved to laugh and visit with family and friends. She passed down a strong example of faith, commitment, sacrifice, generosity and morals to her children and extended family. She recited the rosary daily and had a strong connection with our Blessed Virgin Mary.
Caroline is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Julius; her children, Curt (Tamey) Honeyman of Regent, Julie (Brett) Dillman of Chanute, KS, Cindy (Jake) Levi of Mandan, ND, Jim (Michelle) Honeyman of Regent, ND, and Carla (Pete) Nielsen of Monument, CO; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Rose Tranby, Edward (Marcella) Kautzman, Benjamin (Maureen) Kautzman, Theckla (Harry) Rohr; and numerous nieces and nephews.
