Carrol passed away quietly in her sleep on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at her home in Hillsboro, ND. Carrol Ann Tooley was born May 24, 1944 in Dickinson, the daughter of Percy “Pat” and Monica (Kary) Tooley. She grew up and attended St. Patrick’s Catholic School, Dickinson Central and later Dickinson State University. Carrol spent many years bartending in western North Dakota including the Zip to Zap event. She later worked at McDonalds for Mike Kelly for several years before retiring. Carrol enjoyed reading books, taking care of her little dogs, and watching old T. V. series as well as NASCAR. She was always ready to tell you what was on her mind and had no hidden agenda. In 2011, she moved to Hillsboro to be closer to family. She enjoyed keeping track of her nieces and nephews and loved hearing from them. Carrol’s faith and church were very important to her over the years. She was very grateful for the loving care she received from her caregivers since moving to HIllsboro. Carrol is survived by her brothers, Darrell (Patti) Tooley of Dickinson, and David (Bette) Tooley of St. Croix Falls, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy “Pat” and Monica Tooley; brother, Donald P. Tooley; and sister, Mary Ellen Schnell.
