Funeral services for Catherine Erhart, 91, of Glen Ullin, will be 10:00 a.m. (CDT) Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin, with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Glen Ullin.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (CDT) Friday, July 13, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rosary and Prayer Service taking place at 7:00 p.m.
Catherine Erhart passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Marian Manor Healthcare Center in Glen Ullin, ND. Catherine was born August 25, 1920 in Glen Ullin, ND the youngest child of Thomas and Anna Tkach. She lived on a farm with her family outside of Glen Ullin and attended country grade school. Catherine graduated from Glen Ullin High School in 1939. On September 17, 1940, Catherine and Anton Erhart were united in marriage at St. Peter and Paul Church. To this union three sons were born: Reiny, Myron, and Doug. The family settled on a farm south of Glen Ullin. In 1963, Catherine and Anton moved into Glen Ullin. Catherine was employed with Geck’s Family Clothing Store from 1963 to 1974. In 1974, Catherine went to work at the Marian Manor Healthcare Center until 1994 when she retired. Catherine had many interests, including sewing, cooking, quilting, and crocheting. She loved spending time with family, relatives and friends.
Catherine is survived by her three sons, Reiny (Theresa) of Missoula, MT, Myron of Glen Ullin; and Doug (Peggy) of Mandan, ND; six grandchildren, Tony (Amanda) Erhart of Missoula, MT, Cathy (Jason) Laridon of Covington, WA, Richard Erhart of Missoula, MT, Rick (Melissa) Erhart of Bismarck, ND, Rhonda (Kent) Barringer of Fargo, ND, Jade (Erica) Erhart of Richfield, MN; 11 great-grandchildren, Lacey Erhart, Crystal & Lance Laridon, Michael Erhart, Nicole & Derek Erhart, Keshia & Kamala Barringer, Tayten, Bentley & Harper Erhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tony in 1968; her parents, Thomas and Anna Tkach; daughter-in-law, Sandy Erhart; three brothers, John, Peter, & Thomas Tkach; and four sisters, Anna Jantzer Fischer, Mary Renner, Pauline Magstadt, and Helen Loran.
