Funeral Mass for Catherine Klein, 96, of Richardton, ND will be 9a. m. Saturday, January 3, 2009 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Richardton, ND with Father Boniface Mugglie OSB celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Mary?s Catholic Cemetery in Richardton. Visitation will be from 1 p. m. to 9 p. m. , Friday, January 2, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home Dickinson, ND with a Rosary taking place at 5 p. m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Richardton. Catherine passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at St. Vincent?s Care Center in Bismarck, ND. Catherine Klein grew up and attended country school. She met Paul Klein and they were united in marriage on November 7, 1938 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church south of Dodge. They made their home on the family farm near Dodge, and it was here where they raised their family of five children: Eugene, Leslie, Paul, Deloris, and Dennis. In 1982 Catherine and Paul retired and moved to Richardton where they made their home. After the death of Paul, Catherine lived at Marilac Manor for many years and later moved into St. Vincent?s Care Center, due to her failing health. Catherine enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans. Catherine was known for her cooking especially her breads. She was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church and St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Catherine is survived by her son, Paul Jr. of Dickinson; Daughter, Deloris Klein of Bismarck; Daughter-in-law, Kathy Klein of Mandan; twelve Grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is preceded by both of her parents, her husband Paul; sons, Eugene, Leslie, and Dennis Klein; brothers, August, John, Steve, Pete and Joe Zarr; sisters, Tillie Duttenhefer and Francis Streifel
