Catherine Lefor

Funeral Mass for Catherine Lefor, 98, of Dickinson, ND will be Tuesday, December 11, 2007, 10 a. m. at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Graveside service will take place at 3 p. m. at the Dawson County Cemetery, Glendive, MT. Visitation will be Monday, December 10, 2007, 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil service at 7 p. m. Catherine passed away Friday, December 7, 2007 at St. Luke’s Nursing Home in Dickinson. Catherine was born May 15, 1909 to Franz and Elizabeth (Dolwig) Willer near Gladstone, ND. She attended rural grade schools. On June 10, 1929 Catherine married Frank B. Lefor and together they moved to Glendive, MT. Frank passed away in 1984 and Catherine continued to live in Glendive until 1999 when she moved to Dickinson. In Dickinson, she made her home at the Park Ave Villa until 2003 at which time she entered St. Luke?s Nursing Home. A few of her joys in life include: Crocheting, knitting and visiting with others. She was very proud of each of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren as she made afghans for each and every one! There was always a pot of coffee on along with homemade cookies and her famous strudels or rolls. Her home was warm and inviting and was the gathering place for family and friends. Catherine enjoyed genealogy and kept up both her family and her husband?s families books. Catherine was a member of the Catholic Daughters and held many offices for them over the years, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive and most recently a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Dickinson. She was an active member of the Royal Neighbors and Legion of Mary. She is survived by: one son; Bob (Carol), Dickinson, ND; a daughter: Marilyn Cullen, Billings, MT. ; seven grandchildren: Mike (Sherryl) Lefor, Dickinson and their children, Brett, Scott and Andi, Greg (Beth) Lefor, Alpharetta, GA, and their child, Christopher, Susie Lefor, Dickinson, Dianne Lefor, Dickinson, Todd (Jennifer) Lefor, Fargo, ND and their children, Sarah and Joshua, Patti (Lyle) Nelson, Ham Lake, MN and their children, Katie, Logan and Madison, and Cathy Cullen, Billings, MT; a sister; Lee Gorman, Truckee, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by: her husband; Frank in 1984; seven brothers: Mike, Frank, Joe, Jack, Emil, John and Pete; four sisters: Anna Grundhauser, Elizabeth (Betty Schiwal), Elizabeth and Barbara (sisters who died at infancy) and son-in-law, Frank Cullen.
