Memorial Services for Catherine L. Steckler, 53, of Richardton will be 1:00 p. m. , Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the St. John Lutheran in Richardton with Pastor Steven Schou officiating.


Loving mother and wife, Catherine Louise Steckler, was called home by the Lord Saturday, June 15, 2013.


Catherine Louise Steckler (Cathy) was born August 3, 1959 to Junior and Charlotte (Bakkee) Steele. She spent most of her childhood living in Minneapolis, Minnesota where she graduated from Henry High in north Minneapolis with the class of 1978. She also spent time with other family members in Milnor ND and Lisbon ND. Cathy worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for quite a few years. She worked at The Manor in Forman ND, and at the Soldiers Home in Lisbon ND. She also did factory work in Fargo ND, and in Wahpeton ND. But her favorite job was being with her children. Cathy was a loving and caring person who put others needs before her own. She loved her children and grandchildren very much and tried to help out when she could. Cathy was married in March 2007, to Brian Steckler and they made their home in Richardton ND. They lived there with their three boys Devyn, Jarred, and Zackery until Cathy had another battle with cancer. She spent the last few months of her life in Marian Manor Health Center in Glen Ullin ND.


Cathy is survived by her husband Brian Steckler, her son and daughter-in-law Carl and Amanda Steele, her daughter Chrissy (Odegard) Komrosky, sons Devyn, Jarred, and Zackery Steckler, granddaughter Anna Hopkins, grandson Tyler Steele, one brother Robbert Steele, and 3 nephews and 1 neice. She is proceeded in death with her father Junior Steele and mother Charrlotte Bakkee, step-mother Nila Steele, her older brother Benjamin Steele, and brother-in-law Lyal Steckler.
