Cathy Gorder

A funeral service for Cathy Gorder, 76, of Baker, MT will be 11:00 a. m. , Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Kolasch officiating. Burial will take place in Bonnievale Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. , on Wednesday, September 21st at Stevenson Funeral Home. Catherine (Cathy) Gorder (76) of Baker, MT, passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at her home in Baker. Cathy was born on March 28, 1940, in Bowman County, ND. She was the daughter of Chris and Hattie (Schauman) Miloff and attended Slope County Public School in North Dakota as a young girl. Cathy met and married Robert (Bob) Gorder in 1966 and together they raised six children. The two later divorced but remained good friends throughout the years. Cathy spent most of her young years raising her children. She had such a big heart and loved kids. She was always there to lend a helping hand to children, whether it was her kids or their friends. Cathy was very accommodating to children; you could find all of the neighborhood kids playing at her house on any given day. She enjoyed teaching her kids how to ride horses and loved to bake homemade goods for her family. She was known for her “fresh bread and buns,” tasty goulash and potato salad. Cathy was passionate about many things in life; she loved country western music, rodeos, and dancing. After Cathy’s children were grown, she became a bartender. She was a very fun, loving person and many people enjoyed her company. She modeled for Katie Larson antique shows for many years. Cathy had many great friends that cared deeply for her. She made sure her friends knew they were special to her; she was the friend that would go out of her way to help anyone out. Cathy had a passion for life. She enjoyed traveling and a good weekend getaway. She enjoyed her family and loved to make big family meals for the holidays. Cathy loved spending time and making memories with her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. Those who knew her will never forget the memories that were made. Cathy is survived by her sister, Louise Waller; children, Gary (Pam) Gorder of Baker, MT, Lonnie (Jodi) Gorder of Belgrade, MT, Ronnie Gorder of Bozeman, MT and Robin (special friend James Gregory) of Lead, SD; five grandchildren, Darick (Michelle) Gorder, Dustin (special friend Sara Berger) Gorder, Donna (special friend Trenton Harbaugh) Gorder, Jordyn Gorder, Aurora Gregory; seven great-grandchildren, Sady, Jacey, Briley, Ryann, Jayda, Kael, Treylan. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Art Miloff and sisters Linda Ferrell and Lula Dickason; two sons, Eddy Clark and Terry Gorder.
