A funeral Mass for Cecilia Buresh, 82, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will take place in Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, New Hradec. Visitation for Cecilia will be from 12:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Thursday, September 22 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 7:00 p. m. Cecilia passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at her home in Dickinson. Cecilia Marie (Nolz) Buresh was born on July 16, 1934 on the family farm near Artas, SD, the daughter of Adam and Magdalena (Kuhn) Nolz. Cecilia received her primary education from Kauk School in Artas, SD. At the age of 19, she moved to Dickinson, ND to pursue a career in nursing. This is where she met her husband, Ludwig Buresh. On June 20, 1955, Cecilia was united in marriage to Ludwig J. Buresh at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec, ND. They were blessed with ten children. Cecilia was a dedicated mother and farm wife on their dairy farm in Billings County. She enjoyed her beautiful garden, milking cows and raising chickens. She was always very welcoming to friends and relatives to share good food, visits and laughter. Her most cherished moments were with her sisters when they came to visit her. They would speak in German and would laugh until they cried. Cecilia’s greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Life was precious to her and every child was a gift from God. “Faith, Hope and Love but the Greatest of these is love. ” (1 Corinthians 13:13)Cecilia will be remembered for her incredible faith and always a prayer warrior for so many. She was never without a rosary and lived her life for God and her family. “If we have died with him, we will also live with him. ” (2 Timothy 2:11)Cecilia is survived by her husband, Ludwig; children, Linda (Steve) Glasser, Dickinson, ND, Karen (Dwight) Sabrosky, Killdeer, ND, Jim (Lynette) Buresh, Richmond, TX, LaVonne (Nick) Reis, Dickinson, ND, Allen Buresh (Tessa Lininger), Blaine, MN, Anita (Dale) Twardoski, Bismarck, ND, Leslie (Michael) Lee, Grassy Butte, ND, Mary Buresh, Bismarck, ND, and Michelle (Christopher) Antenucci, Scarsdale, NY; 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; siblings, Meinard Nolz, Janet (Ray) Hanel, Richard (Joyce) Nolz, Alice (Fran) Aberle, Lucia (Dale) Mueller, Marie Simmons, Paul Nolz; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Buresh; brothers, Joseph Nolz (baby) and Donald Nolz; brother-in-law, Ken Simmons; and grandson, Michael Reis. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials be given to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Badlands Choice Clinic and the Dickinson Catholic Schools.
