Mass of Christian burial for Cecilia Roller, 93, of Dickinson will be Thursday, February 20, 2003, 10:00 a. m. at the St. Mary?s Catholic Church, New England with Father William Cosgrove, celebrating. Internment will follow at St. Mary?s Cemetery, New England. Visitation is Wednesday, February 19, 2003, from 9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel with a rosary being said at 1:30 p. m. in St. Luke?s Home. Visitation will resume at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel from 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a rosary at 7:00 p. m. followed by a vigil. Cecilia passed away on Monday, February 17, 2003 at the St. Luke?s Home, Dickinson. Cecilia, daughter of Jacob and Margaret (Zentner) Friedt, was born April 5, 1909, in rural Mott, ND. She was raised and attended country school in Hettinger County. Later she met her husband, Frank F. Roller and they were married in St. Placidus Church on October 26, 1937. Together they farmed west of New England and raised their family of nine children. She took pride in her interest of baking, cooking and crocheting. She will be long remembered by her grandchildren for the many pranks she played on them. Cecilia loved the companionship of others, especially her family, friends and neighbors. She was a member of the St. Mary?s Altar Guild, Senior Citizens and Grandma?s Club. In 1974, Frank and Cecilia moved into New England and in 1997 they made their home in Dickinson. The most important characteristic of her life was her humble nature and daily devotion to Christ and his Blessed Mother Mary. Cecilia will be greatly missed by her husband Frank Roller of Dickinson, children, James (Betty) Roller of Eugene, OR, Thomas (Jan) Roller of Montgomery, AL, Victor Roller of Dickinson, David (Deb) Roller of Gilbert, AZ, Ronald (Char) Roller of Beloit, WI, Benedict (Diane) Roller of Bismarck, Mary (Joe) Privratsky of Dickinson; 26 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; two daughter-in-laws, Kathleen Roller of Dickinson, Joellen Roller of Bismarck and one sister, Margaret Frank of Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, five sisters, two sons, Albert & Joseph Roller, five grandchildren, Betsy Roller, Mark, Peter, Joseph, and Calvin Privratsky.
