Chad passed away of natural causes Monday, June 20, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Health – Dickinson. Chad Edward Conitz was born in Bismarck, ND on May 3, 1976. On May 24, 1996 he married the love of his life Kari Jewl Lindstrom in Williston ND. It was there he settled with his new wife and began his family. Chad and his small family of only three at the time moved to Dickinson, ND. It was in Dickinson that Chad would go on to have two additional children with Kari. Chad enjoyed his family life and adored his wife and children with all his heart. He was viewed as a loving father and protector to his family and with him they felt safe. He raised his children to stand up for what they believed in, regardless of what anyone thought. He taught them to be vigilant of their surroundings, independent as individuals and loving to each other. Chad felt strongly about the importance of family. He was happiest at home with his wife and children beside him. He loved to hear their laughter and loved to be the one to make them laugh. Chad also enjoyed his best buddy and loyal dog, Dimynd. Chad had multiple hobbies over the years including collecting sports cards, watching football, watching and collecting movies, acting, dancing, singing and performing on stage. He would listen to every genre of music, no matter what type it was, and he would dive into the statistics of each performer he found an interest in. He was always into something new. Chad also loved playing video games with his kids. His most recent passions were MMA Fighting, Body Building and Digital Graphic Art. He debuted as an amateur local circuit MMA fighter in 2011, which was short lived due to an injury to his shoulder on his first fight. Chad quickly bounced back after surgery and put his focus on body building and creating digital graphic art on his computer. His work has been published on body building supplement products and most recently on T-shirts for a local tattoo company. He is survived by his wife, Kari Conitz; four children, Zane Gilbertson, Atlannta Conitz, Khia Conitz and Riley Conitz; grandson, Zolten Conitz; father, Leon (Norleen) Conitz; mother, Jacquelyn (Mike) Hennesy; brothers, Michael Conitz, and Jason (Alyssa) Conitz; sister, Melissa Solum; brother-in-law, Cody Lindstrom; sister-in-law, Veronica (Martin) Sorenson; 11 nieces and nephews and four great-nephews; and dog, Dimynd.
