Funeral Mass for Charles Doll, 60, of Almont will be 10:00 a. m. CDT on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church south of Glen Ullin, ND with Father Arul Joseph celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph?s Cemetery and a luncheon at the Parish Hall in Glen Ullin. Visitation will be from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. CDT on Monday, April 5, 2010 with a Rosary and Vigil service at 6 p. m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin. Charles passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck. Charles (Chuck) Doll was born on October 22, 1949 in Mandan, ND. He grew up on a farm southwest of Almont with his father, George, mother, Venita and brother, Rick until his father died in 1966. He then moved to Mandan with his mother and brother but continued to run the farm. In the summer of 1967 he met Marilyn Starr in Mandan and they married in Christ the King Church on June 21, 1969. They moved out to the childhood farm. Besides everyday duties, Chuck was the neighborhood mechanic and was always willing to lend a hand. Galen, a good friend and neighbor was always willing to give Chuck an extra hand whenever called upon. Chuck had a 1967 Camaro in which he took great pride. He also had a 1964 Chevy Impala that his sons helped him rebuild. He also enjoyed driving the Impala to car shows throughout the summer with the family. He also helped his sons and brother rebuild their classic cars. Chuck helped Marilyn with the Glen Ullin food pantry by picking up and delivering the commodities. Chuck is survived by his wife of 40 years, Marilyn, daughter, Lynne (Joe) Cuccia, Hazen, ND, sons, Jeffrey Charles (Rochelle) Doll, Russell James (Alicia) Doll, both of Mandan and Cody James Doll, Bismarck, mother, Venita Doll, Mandan and brother, Rick (Jan) Doll, eight grandchildren, Sasha, Drew, Blaze, Starley, Tyler, Lexi, Lindsey and Cutter, nephew and niece, Justin and Tara and special friends, Bernie and Larry Leingang, Galen Meier and all his buddies from Almont and Glen Ullin. He was preceded in death by his father, George and a baby boy. Memorials are preferred to the Glen Ullin Food Pantry.
