Funeral Mass for Charles I. Dvorak, 89 of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Saturday, January 29, 2005 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Austin Vetter, Celebrating. Interment will follow in the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery at New Hradec. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. , continuing on Friday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary and Vigil at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Visitation will continue on Saturday, one hour prior to service at the church. Charles passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Charlie was born on August 27, 1915, the son of Wencel and Virginia (Tuhy) Dvorak in Dunn County. He grew up and attended schools in Dunn County. Charlie enlisted in the CCC?s where he served for several years. He returned to the family homestead where he began farming. Charles was married to Dorothy Ridl on May 25, 1943 and together they farmed and raised their family. In 1979 Charlie retired and moved into Dickinson where they have made their home since. He enjoyed playing cards, pool, fishing and just being outdoors. He especially enjoyed going out to the country to pick june berries to make pies and jelly. Charlie was a member of the Dickinson Eagles, St. Anthony?s Club and the KC Club. Survivors include, his wife, Dorothy, Dickinson; three sons, C. Charles ?Chuck? (Joan) Dvorak, Haxton, CO, Donald (Joyce) Dvorak, Gladstone and Dennis (Jan) Dvorak, Joplin, MO; five grandchildren: Jennifer Dvorak, Jeff (Tammie) Dvorak, Carol (Chad) Brusseau, Jason (Dawn) Dvorak and Justin Dvorak and his fianc?e, Lena Aho; three great-grandchildren: Grant Dvorak, Amanda and Tyler Brusseau; a brother, Lewis Dvorak, Dickinson and a sister, Agnes Dvorak of Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers: Anton, Joe, Dan, Frank, Clement, and Isadore Dvorak and two sisters, Mary Kralicek and Annie Kadrmas.
