Funeral Mass for Charles J. ?Charlie? Krank, 78, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Father Dennis Schafer celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 3:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. continuing Monday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. with Rosary/Vigil at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Charlie passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004 at St. Joseph?s Hospital & Health Center. Charlie was born November 11, 1925 in Dickinson, ND, the son of Mike F. and Tina (Deis) Krank. He grew up and attended schools in Dickinson and began working for the Cloverdale Creamery. On November 20, 1949 he married Jean Etherington in Dickinson. In 1961, he started a bus service with one bus, which, grew into a fleet of thirteen buses. The Bus Line wasn?t sold until 1978. He worked for Eldercare in Dickinson until he semi-retired. At that time he began working for local car dealers, shuttling cars until his retirement. Charlie enjoyed playing music, bird watching and feeding the squirrels. In his early years, he raced stock cars. He still kept up with the national drivers of today and would always listen to the Indy 500 on the radio. Charlie enjoyed gatherings with friends and family. Survivors include his wife, Jean, Dickinson; seven children: Kathleen (Alvin) Schaff, Scranton; Karla (Andy) Azonabor, Dracut, MA; Linda (David) Kracht, St. Paul MN; Kevin (Patricia) Krank, Las Vegas, NV; Gloria Krank, Angus, MN; Daniel Krank, Dickinson and Brandon Krank, Dickinson; one brother, Robert Krank, Bismarck; three sisters: Marjorie Hewison, Boise, ID; Lucille Trucano, Albuquerque, NM; Gloria (Don) Jeter, Hattiesburg, MS; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-grandson, Chad Rehling.
