Charles Miller

A funeral service for Charles Miller, 81, of Glen Ullin will be 10:00 a.m. CDT, Thursday, August 17, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Hebron with Pastor David Ling officiating. Burial will take place in First Baptist Cemetery.


Visitation for Charles will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CDT, Wednesday, August 16th at the church with a prayer service taking place at 7:00 p.m. CDT.


Charles passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Marion Manor in Glen Ullin.


Charles Edger Miller was born May 13, 1936 in Hebron, the son of Charles and Elizabeth (Will) Miller. Growing up, he attended school in Hebron. With his father being ill, Charles worked on the farm to help his family. He later left for Washington to work for Boeing, building planes. Charles came back to Hebron to work on the farm. He met and married Donna Jean Olin on March 6, 1958. To this union, three children were born, Vicki, Valerie and Darrin. Charles enjoyed hunting and fishing in Canada and Idaho during his younger years. His family and his grandchildren were very special to him.


Charles is survived by his daughters, Vicki Opp (Kevin Morrow) of Bismarck , Valerie (Les) Schantz of Glen Ullin; sister, Jennis Miller-Iszler; grandchildren, Tabitha (Doug) Schneider, Kenyon (Jacque) Opp, Keelan Opp, Taura Schantz, Kurran Opp (Chelsey Fischer), Shawn Miller, Tanna (John Filibeck) Schantz; great-grandchildren, Tymber, Trevor, Dason, Tyler, Dylan, Dalton, Tucker, Adah, Johnny, Alice and one on the way.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Miller; son, Darrin Miller (1998), brother, Ervin Miller; sister, Winifred Roth.
