Charlotte DelaBarre

Charlotte DelaBarre, age 59, of Glen Ullin, ND, was welcomed into the choirs of heaven on October 27, 2007 at her farm home following a battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM Central Time on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with Father Joseph Arul as celebrant. Rosary and Vigil services will be on Friday at 7:00 PM at Sacred Heart. Burial of her ashes will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Charlotte was born June 15, 1948 in Mandan, ND, the daughter of Gilbert and Anna (Sebastian) Gietzen. She was raised on the farm north of Glen Ullin, and educated at Glen Ullin Schools where she graduated in 1966. On June 19, 1967 she married Bob DelaBarre at Glen Ullin. Following their marriage they moved to the DelaBarre homestead. Charlotte had a love of music and shared her talents as being an organist, in the choir, being a longtime member of the regionally famous band ?Midnight Ride?, and one of the Custer Trail Singers. She was involved in her community as a member of the Saddle Club, and the Mrs. Jaycees. Charlotte was the bookkeeper for Bob?s Trucking, of Glen Ullin, a business owned by Bob and Charlotte. Those remaining to share the legacy of her love include her husband Bob, Glen Ullin, ND; one daughter, Dana (Kevin) Gerving, Glen Ullin, and one son Jason (Kim), of Bismarck, ND; her grandchildren: Leah, Jane, Grant, and Damian Gerving, and Matthew, Hunter and Boe, DelaBarre. She is also survived by her three sisters: Donna (Joe) Reinbold, Hebron, ND, Doreen (Donald) Roden, Mandan, ND; Cleone (Duane) Hatzenbuehler, Hebron, ND, and three brothers Terry (Mary Ann) Gietzen, Orofino, ID, Curt (Linda) Gietzen, Dickinson, ND, Charles (Kerry) Gietzen, Glen Ullin, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents.
