Christine Makaruk

The funeral service for Christine Makaruk, 51, Belfield, will be 1:00 p. m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Burial will follow in the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2007 from 1:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. and will continue on Monday from 8:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Christine passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at her home in Belfield. She was born March 10, 1955 in Dickinson, the daughter of William and Betty (Strilchuk) Makaruk. Chrisitine grew up and attended school in Belfield through the 9th grade. She worked at the Trapper?s Inn doing housekeeping. Christine enjoyed woodworking,needlepoint, listening to country music and being around little kids. Survivors include her mother, Betty Makaruk, Belfield, ND; a sister, Evelyn (William) Vokal, Desert Hot Springs, CA; two aunts: Ella Gawrylow and Katherine Gawrylow both of Belfield, ND; one uncle, Nick Gawrylow, Zap, ND; one nephew, Joshua Makaruk, Edenbough, Scotland; one niece, Stephanie Vokal, Desert Hot Springs, CA and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.
