Funeral Services for Christina Gassaway, 52 of Gillette, WY, formally of Ekalaka, MT are 1:00 p. m. Monday, November 28, 2005 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT, with Pastors Bruce and Reba Kolasch officiating. Burial will follow in Beaver Lodge Cemetery in Ekalaka. Christina passed away Thursday, November 24, 2005, as a result of an automobile accident west of Baker. Christina Gassaway was born October 16, 1953, the daughter of Marvin and Laura Jean Erickson. She grew up and attended country school in the Bell Tower School District in the Box Elder area, and later in Ekalaka. Christina then moved to Billings for a short time before moving to Pleasentine, CA. She began working at the Alameda Track where she worked as a groom and trainer assistant. Christiana also completed a home study course to be a veterinarian assistant. Christina, known by her friends as ?Tina?, began working at the Pinkerton Securities and later Securitas. On August 21, 2002, Christina married John Gassaway in Lake Tahoe, NV. John preceded her in death on May 30, 2005. She continued to work for Securitas and was in the process of moving to Gillette, WY. Christina loved animas and flowers and enjoyed listening to Elvis music. She also enjoyed traveling to a new places and would send many photos to her family and friends. Christina had received numerous awards of recognitions for excellent service. Christiana is survived by her father: Marvin (Betty) Erickson, Ekalaka, MT; her mother: Laura Jean Erickson, Ekalaka, MT; two sons: John Miller, Billings, Montana, Curtis Miller, Great Falls, Montana, two brothers: Robert (Connie) Erickson, Estes Park, CO, Arnold (Dixie), Gillette, WY; three sisters: Rhonda (Paul) Leinen, Poplar, MT; Diane Hockenbary, Ekalaka, MT; Laurel (Ronald) Turbiville, Camp Crook, SD; and nineteen nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her husband, John Gassaway.
