A funeral service for Cindy Mittelstadt, 69, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , MDT, Thursday, September 10, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, Dickinson with Pastor Lisa Lewton and Pastor Joe Natwick officiating. Burial will take place at the ND Veterans Cemetery at 3:00 p. m. CDT. Visitation for Cindy will be from 3:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. , Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with a prayer service being held at 6:30 p. m. Visitation will continue on Thursday one hour prior to the service at St. John Lutheran Church, Dickinson. Cindy died unexpectedly on September 6, 2015, while camping at Hidden Valley Camp Ground, Deadwood, SD. Cindy was born at the Hillcrest Hospital, Beulah, ND, on June 1, 1946 to Jacob and Minnie (Schulz) Saeman. She was baptized at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Rural Dodge. Cindy was confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Halliday, by Pastor Harry S. Theiss. She was raised on a farm north of Dodge and was educated and graduated in Dodge. On June 20, 1964 she married her loving husband of 51 years, Arvid Mittelstadt, at St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Halliday by Pastor Harry S. Theiss. Together they lived in Owatonna, MN where Cindy worked at Joslin’s Jewelry for several years. In 1975, they moved to Bismarck for a short time after which they moved to Dickinson where Cindy and Arvid co-owned Roughrider Mobile Homes. Cindy worked at American State Bank for several years and at J L Johnson Bridal, retiring in 2006. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Cindy loved trying new recipes, gardening, camping, playing games on the computer and sewing on her Serger machine. Cindy is survived by her husband, Arvid; two sons, Wayne (Rachel), Parker, CO and Glenn, Dickinson, ND; three grandchildren, Katie, Megan & Brody, Parker, CO; two sisters, Marilyn (Duane) Kessler, Baldwin, ND and Jane (Wes) Gunsch, Beulah, ND; five sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law, Connie (Frank) Barnick, Steele, ND, Dale (Karen) Mittelstadt, Aurora, CO, Marilyn Smith, Christianna, TN, Kathy (Jonas) Schumacher, Dickinson, ND and Aaron (Deb) Mittelstadt, Coeur d’Alene, ID; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Arthur & Irene Mittelstadt; one niece, Rhonda Gunsch; three brothers-in-law, LeRoy Reinhardt, Donald Kastner, and Earl Smith; and four sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Evonne, Colleen & Sharon Mittelstadt.
