Funeral Mass for Clara Adamski, 99, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a. m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, New Hradec, ND with Father Shannon Lucht celebrating. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 12:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Rosary and Vigil Service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Clara passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center, Dickinson. Clara Ridl was born May 17, 1910 on the family farm in Stark County to Thomas and Anna (Kubas) Ridl. She grew up and attended Country School # 4. She worked on the family farm until she married Anthony Adamski on November 3, 1931 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec. The couple moved to South Heart where they lived for several years before they purchased the Ridl family farm. It was here that Clara and Tony made their home and raised their family. In 1973 they retired to New Hradec. After Anthony passed away in November of 1983, Clara continued to reside there, enjoying going to daily Mass, enjoyed gardening, caring for her home, walking, crossword puzzles, baking, making quilts, afghans, crocheting and working on genealogy. In November of 2001 she entered St. Benedict?s Health Center. . Clara was also a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church and the Rosary Society. Clara was a loving, compassionate, caring, kind, patient, attentive, accepting, supportive, nurturing, sharing person. She laughed easily, loved unconditionally and lived for her family. She lit up the room with her smile and wit. Clara is survived by her son, George (JoAnne) Adamski of Elk River, MN; her daughter Pat (Richard) Steffan of Dickinson, ND; sister, Judy Semerad of Bismarck; thirteen grandchildren: Cheryl (Dale) Arstein; Jeff (Jane) Adamski; Rick (Karen) Adamski; Pat (Teresa) Adamski; Russ (Paula) Adamski, John (Annette) Adamski: Carla Nelson; Curt (Deanna) Steffan; Anne Steffan: Kyle (Deb) Steffan; Lori Luptak; Gary (Lori) Steffan; Michelle (Jason) Dohrmann. 21 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildrenShe was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tony; two brothers, George and Andrew Ridl and sister, Eleanor Bacon. Family suggests memorials to St. Benedict?s Health Center or Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery, New Hradec.
