Clarence passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at Medcenter One Health Center in Bismarck, ND. Clarence Ed Walth was born September 28, 1941 in rural Antelope, ND, to John and Lydia (Sailer) Walth. He was raised on the family farm south of Antelope and attended country grade school. He went on to attend two years of high school in Hebron. In 1960, Clarence took over the farming and cattle operation after his dad had a stroke. On June 16, 1962, Clarence and Darlys (Dolly) Hintz were married in Hebron. Together, they moved to the family farm where they raised a son and three daughters. Clarence drove a feeder school bus for Hebron Public Schools for many years. When the CRP program came out, Clarence put his land in CRP and partnered with Ted Roll to seed CRP acres with Dolly?s help. After Ted?s death, Clarence bought Ted?s share and went on his own. Due to the drought, he sold the cattle in 1988. In 1995, Clarence went to work for K&K Pick and Roll in Hebron as a welder during the months he couldn?t seed. He was forced into early retirement in 2000 after having by-pass surgery in July and again in October. In 2001, the couple moved to Mott where Dolly worked. The joys of his life were his grandchildren. Many weekends were spent taking motors apart and putting them back together as well as hunting deer and pheasant. In his spare time, Clarence made miniature barns for his great-grandchildren and other wooden projects. Clarence loved to go to coffee with his friends in Mott.
