Funeral services for Cleonne Cheadle, 68, of Dickinson, ND will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. Visitation will be Monday, March 23 from 12 PM to 9 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM. Cleonne passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at St. Benedict?s Health Care Center in Dickinson, ND. Cleonne was born February 21, 1941 to John and Dorothy (Hanson) Crow south of Marmarth, ND. She grew up and attended school in Marmarth. She later met and married Walter Peterson in 1960. To this union three children were born; Jackie, Duane and Larry. They made their home in the Bismarck area. After their divorce, Cleonne moved to Baker, where she met and married Daniel Cheadle on November 22, 1975. She worked as a nurse?s aide her entire career until she no longer could due to her Multiple Sclerosis. She was diagnosed with MS 23 years ago. She moved into the Quality Care facility in Baker in 2000. During her time at Quality Care, she helped and cared for her fellow residents. She always made sure they were OK. Cleonne took great pride in helping the other residents. After Dan?s passing in 2005, Cleonne wanted to move to Dickinson to be closer to her daughter, Jackie. She moved into St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson where she spent the last three years of her life. She enjoyed doing puzzles and word searches. She had a great passion for caring for others. She was a very good cook and known for her fried chicken. Her grandchildren were very important to her and she loved each of them very much. Cleonne is survived by her daughter Jackie (Elvis) Entzel, Killdeer, ND and their children Heather (special friend, Kevin Johnson) and Dustin, her four step-daughters: Jennifer, Cheryl, Jamie and Danielle; her brothers: Leslie, Dudley, Don, John Jr. , Randy and Robert Crow; sisters: Yvonne Peterson, JoAnn Erickson and Noreda Mann along with numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Daniel Cheadle; sons, Duane and Larry; a step-daughter, Julie and an infant brother.
