Funeral services for Clifford Hurich, 87, of Dickinson, are Monday, January 6, 2003, 10:00 a. m. at First Congregational Church. Interment will follow at Dickinson Cemetery. Military Rites will be provided by Dickinson Veterans Drill Team. Visitation is Saturday, from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. , Sunday from 9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. and 4:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a prayer service being said at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Clifford passed away on December 31, 2002, at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center. Clifford, a son of Joseph and Tillie (Komberec) Hurich, was born June 9, 1915, in Manning, ND. As their family remained in the Manning area Clifford attended country schools and going on to finish his schooling with Dickinson State University. After college Clifford returned to Manning and began farming. After Clifford and Maria Minciel were married they continued to farm in the Manning area until retiring in 1997 and leasing the farm. He was a member of the Eagles. Clifford enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and reading. He especially loved his faithful companion, his dog and long walks he would take him on. Clifford is survived by his wife, Maria of Dickinson, step-son, Michael Nowik of Dickinson, step-daughters, Irene Frenzel of Spearfish, SD, Hattie DeJonge of California and step-granddaughter, Kristina Frenzel of Spearfish. He was preceded in death by his parents.
