Clyde Jorde, 71, Richardton, passed away peacefully Friday, January 6, 2006, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Bismarck, with his loving wife Edna at his side, all the time during his hospital stay. Funeral services will be 1 p. m. , Friday, January 13, 2006 at St. John?s Lutheran Church, Richardton, with Rev. Steven Schou officiating. Interment will be in St. John?s Lutheran Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation will be 4 p. m. to 8 p. m. , Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Price- Murphy Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7 p. m. Visitation will continue Friday at the church one hour prior to the service. Clyde Ordean Jorde was born October 27, 1934 on the family farm homesteaded in 1876. He attended school at the Lakeville Country School. Clyde had worked on the farm until he started to work out in 1955. In 1956, Clyde joined the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local No. 49. He started working at the Grand Forks Air Base for Peter Kiewit Sons, Co. Later, Clyde worked for Ulland Bros. In the Twin Cities and Cloquet, MN. He mostly worked in the Duluth and surrounding area. He worked hard and many long hour days. He worked for Lusticks Contractors prior to retiring in 1996. Clyde loved his work as a heavy equipment operator for 41 years. Clyde married Edna Mary Adamski on January 27, 1989 on the homestead in Mekinock, ND. They moved to Richardton in 2001. He is survived by: his wife, Edna, Richardton; one son, Richard, Grand Forks, ND; two daughters, Christeen Walz, Grand Forks, ND and Sandra Mesa, East Grand Forks, MN; four grandchildren and three sisters, Artice (Louie) Brandt, Grand Forks, ND, Peggy (Vernon) Herberg, Mekinock, ND, and Ona (Verlin) Vesey, Grand Forks, ND, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
