Corona Quamme, 90, of formerly of Regent, ND, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at St. Luke’s Home. Due to current events happening in our country, a private funeral service will take place.
Visitation for Corona will be 3:00 - 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18th at Stevenson Funeral Home.
Due to the recent outbreak of the Coronavirus, we ask that if anyone is not feeling well to please stay home and get feeling better. Corona would have wanted her friends to be in a safe environment during this time of uncertainty. Her family understands and appreciates your thoughts and prayers.
Corona was born in Mott, ND on June 10, 1929, the daughter of Anton and Magdalena (Schlosser) Lutz. She grew up on the family farm outside of Mott, where she attended school and graduated from Mott High School in 1948. Following high school, Corona worked at JC Penny’s and a bank for several years. On December 1, 1951, Corona married L. Ardmore Quamme in Mott. They were blessed with four children, Dallas, Kenny, Marie and Kent. Through the years, the family made their home in various communities in southwest North Dakota. Corona was a faith-filled woman, a member of St. Henry’s Guild and St. Henry’s Parish of Regent. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering, playing canasta and baking. Corona was known for her raised doughnuts in the Regent area. Time spent with her family always filled her with joy.
Corona is survived by her daughter, Marie (Tom) Arnold of Dickinson; sons, Dallas (Victoria Nelson) Quamme of Mandan, Kenny (Julie) Quamme of Williston, Kent (Marian) Quamme of Fergus Falls, MN; 10 grandchildren, Erin (Ryan) Schmaltz, Jami (Rusty) Haynes, Thomas (Jessica) Arnold, Christopher Quamme, Lindsey (Carl) Dynneson, Jaci (Mike) Rynda, Erik Arnold, Alicia (Thomas) Keeling, Logan (Emily Williams) Quamme, Megan Quamme; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Angeline Wiseman of Regent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ardmore Quamme (1996); brothers, George and Adam Lutz; sisters, Marcella Baumgartner and Margaret Lutz; and an infant daughter.
