Visitation: Tuesday, January 23, from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, ND
Funeral services for Curt Braun, 54, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Brian Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery.
Visitation for Curt will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson.
Curt passed away Friday, January 19, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius Health – Dickinson.
Curt was born on September 13, 1963 the son of Leo J. and Maxine (Zubke) Braun in Dickinson, ND. He attended Jefferson Elementary, Hagen Jr. High and graduated from Dickinson High School in 1981. Curt went on to attend University of North Dakota, graduating in 1985 with a Business Administration and marketing degree. Upon graduation, he returned to Dickinson and joined the family business as a pre-salesman and later became co-owner of Braun Distributing. Curt was married to Shelly Reiger on September 21, 1996. To this union two children were born, Braxtyn and Jaxon. Together they raised their family making Dickinson their home. Summers were filled with being outdoors, enjoying the lake and taking family vacations. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, jogging, building projects and art. Most recently, Curt owned and operated Carpetworks in Dickinson.
He was a member of the Dickinson Elks Lodge #1137, Eagles, ND Tobacco and Candy Association, and ND Beer Wholesalers. Curt was a SW Water Director and served on the board of Pheasants Forever.
Curt is survived by his wife, Shelly of Dickinson, ND; children, Braxtyn Michelle Braun and Jaxon Allen Braun of Dickinson, ND; parents, Leo and Maxine Braun of Dickinson, ND; siblings, Kevin (Amy) Braun of Dickinson, ND and Vonna (Tim) Cheever of Rapid City, SD; mother-in-law, Marge Reiger of Bowman, ND; sisters-in-law, Tammy (Rod) Maule of Dickinson, Cindy (John) Kempenich of Dickinson, ND, and Amy (Chad) Getz of Bowman, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Herbert and Clara Zubke; paternal grandparents, Louis and Katherine Braun; and father-in-law, George Reiger.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the DHS Choir and Dickinson Soccer Club.Braun Curt
