Graveside services for Cynthia Koseski, 60, of Groveland, FL, formerly of Dunn Center, will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Dunn Cemetery, Dunn Center.


Cynthia Joyce Barker Koseski, age 60, of Groveland, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 19th, 2012. She would have celebrated her 61st birthday the following Saturday, May 26th.


Cindy was born in Dickinson, ND and grew up in Dunn Center, ND. She met her husband, Jim, in Ironwood, MI. They were married in 1973 and had their only child in 1975. They lived in Wyoming and Texas before moving to Groveland, FL in 2007. Cindy was a joyful Christian and enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher at Clermont Baptist church. She spent many years working as a bookkeeper for various banking institutions. She enjoyed baking, sewing, spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, and was known as “Nana” to all of the kids in the church and her grandchildren’s homeschool group. Cindy was also a great friend and was loved by everyone who knew her.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon Barker and Gertrude Hamblin Barker, and sister, Joy Barker.


She is survived by her husband, James Koseski; one daughter, Kristine Lien, and her husband, Phil Lien (missionaries to Indonesia); three grandchildren, Madisyn Lien, Kasie Lien, and Camden Lien; three sisters, Delma Cook, (Alameda, CA); Vesta Ellis, (Pinole, CA); and Muriel Klups, and husband George (Ironwood, MI); and two brothers, David Barker, and wife Betty (Eugene, OR); and her twin brother, Charles Barker, and wife Cheryl (Sarasota, FL). Cindy also had many nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Cindy’s greatest desire was to spread the message of the Gospel and to let others know that her joyful spirit came from her relationship with Jesus Christ.
