Dalen was born December 13, 1997 in Dickinson, the son of Dane and Michelle (Herz) Dorval. Growing up he attended elementary school in Williston, currently attending high school as a junior in Ray, ND. Dalen was very active in many activities, FFA, hunting, baseball, football, wrestling and he especially loved basketball. Dalen was also an avid Chicago Bears and Oklahoma Thunder basketball team fan. He was a very passionate person around his friends, while hunting and playing sports. Dalen was always the family jokester, always bringing laughter to his family with his calm nature, never seeing things in life as an urgent matter and he never worried about his looks. He had a ‘no fear’ attitude and was always willing to try anything. Dalen was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a social bug and loved to spend time with his older brother and best friend, Drayton, as well as, his younger siblings, Elana and Dayne, and his numerous friends.
Dalen is survived by his father, Dane (Jessie) Dorval of Dickinson; his mother, Michelle (Korey) Stomley of Epping; brothers, Drayton and Dayne of Dickinson; sister, Elana of Epping; grandparents, Leonard and Sharon Dorval of Belfield, Robert and Elaine Herz of Glen Ullin, Korey’s parents, _________________, Paul and Suzanne Munsterteiger and Scott and Deb Matson of Detroit Lakes, MN; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pastor Steve Anderson, who was at Dalen’s and his family’s side following the accident.
