Dannie Pat Harrison was born April 11, 1958 in Spur, TX, the son of Dan Moody and Shirley (DeGraffenried) Harrison. As a young man, he attended high school in Nocona, TX and graduated in 1976. Following high school, Pat went to serve in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as a sergeant in 1982. He then enjoyed working as a custom combiner through the summer months. On his travels through Brady, MT in August of 1980, he met his future wife, Sharon. On October 24, 1981, Pat and Sharon were married in Conrad, MT. Their marriage was blessed with two children, son, Devon and daughter, Dannie. Pat worked for Cardinal Drilling outside of Livingston, MT. He then got the law enforcement itch and joined the Livingston PD for a short time before applying for Montana Highway Patrol. Following his acceptance, he trained in Helena and then was off to a new adventure in Baker, arriving as a Highway Patrol in July of 1985. Pat patrolled the roads, using a wave to slow down and of course, an occasional ticket was issued. His 20 year career in Baker brought him many new lifelong friends and a few interesting encounters. Pat retired from the Montana Highway Patrol in July of 2005. He returned to work for Nabors Well Service, D & M Water and later became a Senior Safety Specialist for Continental Resources. Pat always enjoyed life with a smile. He was very active playing softball and he enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing, golfing, basketball, bowling, woodworking and photography. Pat took great pride in his lush yard and beautiful flowers. He was often told that he had the nicest yard in Baker and his reply was “You can walk on my lawn, but take your shoes off.”

Pat is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon; son, Devon (Kendall) of Baker; daughter, Dannie (Michael) of Fairfield, CA; mother, Shirley Fisk of Roundup, MT; sister, Katrina (Miles) Riesinger of Roundup, MT; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dan Moody Harrison; brother, Michael Moody Harrison; mother and father-in-law, Roland and Lucille Petersen.
