Darrell Jalbert, 55, Reeder, died suddenly Friday, December 10, 2004, at his home. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday, December 15, 2004, at Our Redeemer?s Lutheran Church, New England, with Chaplain James Oakland officiating. Interment will be in Rainy Butte Lutheran Cemetery, rural New England. Visitation will be from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. Tuesday at Price-Murphy Funeral Home and will continue at the church beginning at 6 p. m. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday at Our Redeemer?s Lutheran Church, New England. Visitation will continue Wednesday at the church one hour prior to the service. Darrell Jalbert was born January 5, 1949, in Dickinson, to Russell and Lucille (Gordon) Jalbert. He attended Enterprise Country School until the eighth grade and graduated from New England Public High School in 1967. He attended Dickinson State College for two years. He married Peggy Bach in New England in June 20, 1969, and then attended NDSU for one and a half years. After his father passed away in 1972, Darrell took over the farm. He farmed with his father-in-law, Archie Bach for 18 years. At the time of his death he was farming with his son. Darrell served on several boards throughout his career and received an award for Outstanding Agriculturist of the Year. His family and farming were his passion. Darrell Jalbert is survived by: his wife, Peggy, Reeder; children, Brandon (Connie), Reeder, Mandy (Fiancee Ferenc Tshibangu) Jalbert, Alexandria, VA. ; two grandchildren, Victoria and Zackary Jalbert, one sister, Connie (Richard) Lutz, Regent; five nieces and nephews, Tana (Tim) Bock, Trevor (Aimee) Lutz, Hollie (Ryan) Nelson, Jason (Kimberly) Bach, Krista (Michael) Bernards; great nieces and great nephews, Conner Bach, Collin Bock, and Gracie Nelson and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his father-in-law, Archie Bach; and one infant brother, Wesley. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in Darrell?s name, which the family will donate to a charitable cause.
