Dave Hutchings

A memorial service for David “Hutch” Glen Hutchings, 62, of Baker, will be at 2:00 p. m. , Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker. Dave left this life on November 21, 2015 at his home in Baker, MT. David “Hutch” Hutchings was born July 17, 1953 in Elk City, OK to Louis and Mary Nell (St Clair) Hutchings. He and his family, his parents and two brothers, moved to Baker, MT in 1955 where he grew up and lived most of his life. Dave graduated from Baker High School in 1971. He enjoyed all sports, especially basketball and football. He enjoyed playing football in high school. After high school he attended Western Montana College in Dillon, MT for one year, and later attended Miles City Community College. Dave worked at several jobs in Baker until going to work for Western Drilling in Baker. He worked for Poole Oilfield Service and then Nabors Well Service. Dave retired in March, 2015. Hutch enjoyed cooking, playing with his nieces and nephews and golfing. He could often be found on the golf course, teaching kids his techniques. Dave played in almost every golf tournament around the area. David’s considerate, generous nature and great sense of humor endeared him to all of his many friends and his family. Dave is survived by his mother, Mary Nell Hutchings of Tahlequah, OK; brothers Earl Ray Hutchings (Rhonda) of Tahlequah, OK, and Dennis Lee Hutchings (Kathy) of Miles City, MT. ; nieces and nephews, Mary (Randy) Blevins, Brandy Hutchings, Jennifer (Michael) Reed, JR Hutchings, Will Hutchings, and Robert (Ashley) Hutchings; five great nephews; one great niece; one great-great niece and a host of friends.
