David passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker, MT. David John Enos was born February 15, 1918, on the home place in Fallon County, the son of Barton and Clifton (Benedict) Enos. He grew up on the family homestead south of Baker. David attended Medicine Rocks Country School and graduated from Baker High School in 1936. After graduation, he worked at various jobs to earn enough money to buy a tractor and replace the horses his father used on the farm. He joined his parents on the farm at the age of 18 and began his farming career. David had a passion for farming. On June 22, 1951, David married the neighbor girl, Janet Clocksene, at the Medicine Rocks Church where they had both attended since childhood. The couple made their home on the farm where they raised their family of six children. David felt blessed to live there the remainder of his life and watch the third, fourth and fifth generation of Enoses grow up as he did, on the farm. A recent proud moment for David came on Labor Day of 2010 when the Enos family celebrated their 100th homestead anniversary. David loved spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed playing Mexican Train Dominoes. David loved his work and considered it his recreation. When his family finally pulled him away from the farm long enough for a vacation, the return trip was always completed in half the time that it took to get away. David?s faith was an important part of his life, and he was a life-long member of the Medicine Rocks Church. David is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet; four sons, Mark (Sue) Enos, Willard; Pete (Cindy) Enos, Willard; Rod (Marcella) Enos, Pocatella, ID, and Paul (Dotty) Enos, Rapid City, SD; two daughters, Muriel Enos, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and Robynn (Brent) Burkhalter, Rapid City, SD; one sister, Mary Finch, Seattle, WA; 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant brother, Barton Ladd Enos, and one brother-in-law, Dennis Finch.
