Funeral Liturgy for David Godlevsky, 90, of Dickinson, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Father Robert Shea officiating. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery, Dickinson.
Visitation for David will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Stevenson Funeral Home, with Rosary taking place at 1:30 p.m.
David passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson.
David Allen was born July 15, 1930 in Dunn County, the son of Stanley and Anna (Roller) Godlevsky. Growing up, he attended Dunn County Iota #2 country school through his elementary years. David came to Dickinson in 1952. He began working construction jobs in 1960 and retired in 2000. David was willing to help anyone in need of help with any kind of work. He was a man with a good heart. David entered Park Villa in November 2005 and St. Luke’s Home in 2016. He was a faith-filled man, a believer in the Catholic faith. David enjoyed old time music, playing accordion, two mile walks around the city blocks and repairing small engines in his tool shed.
David is survived by his brother, Albert (Leona) Godlevsky Ft. Collins, CO; sisters, Dorothy (Jack) Herold of Gladstone, Loretta (Albert) Degele of Fergus Falls, MN; Monica Wanner of New England; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Jr. and Anna; brothers, Charles Godlevsky, Edmond Godlevsky; sisters, Gertrude Zimmerman; brothers-in-law, Maynard Wanner, Carl Dengel, Arnold Zimmerman, and Jacob Herold.
