Graveside service for David J. Pavlish, 64, of Dickinson, will be held Thursday, February 14, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. CST in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND with military rites being presented by the Mandan Honor Guard.
David died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. In accordance to David’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
David was born in Dickinson, ND to John and Elizabeth (Betty) Pavlish on March 8, 1948. He attended school at South Heart, and graduated from there in 1966. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1967 and served in Vietnam. David worked at a truck driver for several firms, the latest being with his friend Ed Ressler at Ressler Trucking. David enjoyed having coffee at local restaurants with his friends. He also enjoyed rodeos, football, Nascar, and watching the races at the local track.
David is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Schaff, New Salem, and two grandchildren, KC and Wyatt Schaff, New Salem. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins, including his special aunt, Bennie Pfau.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
