A Funeral service for Dawn Elizabeth Ray, 46, of Richardton, ND, will be 3:00 p. m. , Friday, June 19, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Pastor Bob Simons officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Dawn passed away Monday, June 15, 2015 at her home in Richardton, ND. Dawn Elizabeth Cooksey Francis was born on November 26, 1968 to Wayne and Elizabeth (Liz Belcher) Cooksey in Phoenix, Arizona. Dawn attended schools in Flagstaff, AZ; Seattle, WA; and Killdeer, ND. Dawn was very proud to receive her GED from Killdeer High School. Dawn had four sons: Justin Joseph Francis, Tyler Grant Francis, Zachary Allen Francis, and Bryan Allen Francis, of whom she was so proud. Dawn had a beautiful smile and could always make us laugh. Dawn had a rough road; but her faith in God remained constant. Dawn is survived by sons, Justin Joseph, Tempe, AZ; Tyler Grant, USA trucker, Zachary and Bryan of Richardton, ND. She is also survived by her father, Wayne Cooksey and stepmom, Linda Cooksey, Datil, NM, special friend, Randall Ray, Richardton, ND and his family; sisters, Alana Flurry, Brackettville, TX, Marti (Steven) Wolf of Scottsdale, AZ, and brothers Sean (Dorothy) Cooksey of New England, ND, Scott Bretzing of Phoenix, AZ, Kevin (Valerie) Cooksey of Phoenix AZ, nieces and nephews, Thomas, Steven, and Sierra Cooksey and Rachel, Emily, Jake and Kaycee Cooksey, Zane Bretzing, Brittany and Tiffany Stempkowski and Victoria Wolff. She is preceded in death by her mother Liz Belcher.
