Funeral Service for Debbie Pavlicek, 68, of Dickinson, ND, will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 28, 2019 at Living Word Fellowship Church, Dickinson, ND with Pastor Scott Skones officiating.


Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a prayer service taking place at 7:00 pm.  Visitation will continue on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 am.


Debbie passed away June 26, 2019 at St. Luke’s Home in Dickinson.


Debbie Benz was born May 31, 1951 in Dickinson, ND, the daughter of Reuben and Janet (Pelton) Benz. She grew up in Dunn Center, ND, where she attended public school and graduated from Killdeer High School in 1969. Debbie married Albert Pavlicek on August 29, 1969 at Normanna Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Dickinson and it was here where she raised her four children, Alan, Amy, Austin and Anthony. Debbie worked as a day care provider for many years retiring in 2014.


Debbie enjoyed camping, needlepoint and crossword puzzles. She was a volunteer for the Special Olympics for many years. Debbie was a caregiver her entire life and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren grow up. Debbie was a great cook and will always be remembered for her meatballs and ginger bread cookies.


Debbie is survived by her husband, Albert Pavlicek, Dickinson, ND; children, Alan (Candi) Pavlicek, Dunn Center, ND, Amy (Blaine) Bullinger, Belfield, ND, and Austin Pavlicek, Dickinson, ND; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Benz, Great Falls, MT, Nick (Rebecca) Benz, Dunn Center, ND, Tom (Twila) Benz, Killdeer, ND; sisters, Barbara Bentz, Mandan, ND, Fammie Heupel, Bismarck, ND, and Carrie (Wayne) Oukrop, Billings, MT.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Reuben and Janet Benz; In-laws, Anton and Emma Pavlicek; brother, Reuben Benjamin Benz; son, Anthony Gary Pavlicek; brother-in-law, Kirk Heupel, and Gary Pavlicek; great-granddaughter, Ella Ruanne.
