Deena Anderson

Deena Anderson, 68, of Dickinson passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius Hospital in Dickinson after a sudden and short illness.

Services will be held at a later date at the Briley Township Cemetery in Atlanta, Michigan.

Deena L. Anderson was born March 20, 1955 in Jackson, Michigan to Carl and Betty (McKay) Anderson. She graduated from Atlanta Community School in 1973 and then went on to get her Associates Degree in Accounting at Alpena Community College. She went back to school for a short period of time to get her Beautician License. Deena worked as a retail clerk until moving to Dickinson ND in 2012 to be closer to her brother Mark and his family. She worked at Cenex in Dickinson for over seven years.

Deena was kind hearted and giving, who lived a very quiet life. She loved to read books, crochet, enjoyed bingo and especially loved cats.  Most important of all for her was her faith in God. She was a member of the River Church in Dickinson.

Deena is survived by her siblings, Mike (Shirley) Anderson of Saline MI; Judy Forester of South Boardman MI; Bruce (Nadine) Anderson of South Boardman MI;  Mark (Lisa) Anderson of South Heart ND; sister-in-law, Judy Anderson in Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. 

Deena was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Betty Anderson and brother, David Anderson. 

Deena’s family asks that memorial contributions be made in her name to the River Church in Dickinson.
