Delmar Becher

A funeral service for Delmar Becher, 80, of Glen Ullin will be 11:00 a.m., CDT, Friday, September 8, 2017 at Spangelo-Stevenson Funeral Home in Glen Ullin with Pastor Marcy Dawson officiating. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.


Visitation for Delmar will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.


Delmar passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at his home in Glen Ullin.


Delmar John Becher was born May 4, 1937 to John and Emma (Schultz) Becher. At the age of ten, Delmar and his family moved to Eagle Nest between Glen Ullin and Hebron. He helped on the farm until moving back to Glen Ullin to work at the rendering plant. Delmar married Jane Doll and together they had two children, Tracey and Darren. Delmar worked on the interstate laying sod and at Fitterer Implements as tractor mechanic for many years.


Delmar loved spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them how to work on cars. He enjoyed fishing and trapping in his younger years.


He is survived by his children; Tracey (Dwight) Kroh and Darren Becher; sisters; Dorothy Larson, Shirley (Jerry) Kroh; brothers, Jimmy Becher, Duwayne (Janette) Donahue; grandchildren, Shawn (Alicia) Schirado, Kent (Mindi) Schirado, Mandy (Efrain) Vega; great-grandchildren, Bradley, Caden and Kaleb “Sparky”.


He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma; first wife, Jane Becher; second wife, LaVonne Becher; and daughter-in-law, Missy Becher.
