Delores Kinnischtzke, 80, of Glen Ullin, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Marian Manor in Glen Ullin. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Central Time on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at the First Congregational UCC located at 311 Ash Avenue in Glen Ullin with Pastor Marcy Dawson, officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday after 4:00 PM at the church where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM. Burial will be held in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery on Monday at 10:00 Central Time. Delores was born March 12, 1928 in New Salem, the daughter of Christ and Gertrude (Werchau) Kaelberer. She was raised on the farm and educated in the country school, and later boarded in New Salem to attend High School. She married Ernest Kinnischtzke September 23, 1950 in New Salem. Following marriage they bought the Himmelspach farm near Glen Ullin and were engaged in raising small grains, dairy and beef cattle. Delores worked hard on the farm helping Ernest and raising her family. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and a good game of pinochle. She was a longtime member of the First Congregational UCC Church in Glen Ullin and the Women?s Fellowship. Delores entered the Marian Manor in March of 2006 because of health issues. Grateful for having shared in her life are her two daughters: Janel Schneider of New Salem, and her friend Gary Opp; Janice (Robert) Baumann of Bottineau, ND; and two sons: Russell (Beverly), Dickinson; Rodney, of Glen Ullin and six grandchildren: Ann Schneider, Carl Schneider, Amy Schneider, Emily (Pete) Cumings, Andrew Baumann, and Nathan Kinnischtzke. She also leaves four brothers: Eugene (Ruth) Kaelberer, Arnold (Jeanette) Kaelberer, Chester (June) Kaelberer, Chris (Carol) Kaelberer all of New Salem, and one sister Marion (Cap) Berger of Belfield. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Ernest.
