Delores Kitzan, 83, of the Marian Manor Healthcare Center in Glen Ullin and formerly of Hebron, died Saturday, March 08, 2008 while a resident at Marian Manor. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 12, at the First Baptist Church in Hebron. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-8 pm at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron with a prayer service at 7:00PM. Burial will be in the First Baptist Cemetery in Hebron. Delores Luella Kungle was born March 22, 1924 on a farm south of Kulm, ND the daughter of Fred and Lydia (Metzger) Kungel. In 1928 they moved to Glen Ullin and in 1930 to Hebron where Delores was raised and educated in Hebron School graduating in 1942. Delores worked at Benson Optical in Bismarck until March of 1943 when she began work for the City Drug store in Hebron. Delores married Walter Kitzan on October 29, 1944 at the First Congregational Church in Hebron. They raised their family on a farm south of Hebron, starting without electricity or running water, but as the years went by they acquired these luxuries. After 32 years on the farm, they built a home in Hebron and retired. Delores has been involved in the church, and the Women?s Missionary Guild. She had special gifts of patience, kindness, and hospitality for all that knew her. She used her gifts in the Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, making the children feel welcome and loved. Delores was not one to sit around, she kept busy doing crafts, quilting and sewing, baking, gardening, entertaining in her home, and was a Tupperware Representative for many years until a stroke in December of 2004. Needing help she entered the Marian Manor in Glen Ullin where she has resided since. Grateful for having shared in her life are her two sons and daughters-in-law: Warren and Jan, of Bismarck, and Rodney and Madelyn, of Mandan; her grandchildren: Cory (Laurie) Kitzan, Lisa (Dave) Lindeman, Melanie (Mitch) Haindfield, Lance Kitzan, Leigh, Kitzan, and Lori Kitzan. Six Great Grandchildren, and one sister Eleanor Lapp, Hebron. Delroes was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, and one brother, Willmar.
