Funeral Services for Delphine Scott, 83, of Baker, MT will be at 2:00 p. m. on Friday, June 18, 2010, in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT with Pastor Bruce Kolasch officiating. Interment will follow in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker. Visitation will be from 10:00 a. m. until the time of the service on Friday. Delphine passed away on Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Fallon County Medical Complex in Baker, MT. Delphine Agnes Scott was born on March 14, 1927, in Valley City, ND the daughter of Clarence and Agnes (Faaberg) Gjere. At a young age, Delphine moved with her family to Decorah, IA and eventually to Cedar Rapids, IA where she graduated from high school. Following graduation, Delphine met and married Wilbur Perry Sr. , and to this union a son Wilbur Jr. was born. Delphine and Wilbur would eventually divorce. She continued to live in Cedar Rapids. She met and married Marshal Scott, and the two were married in 1952. To this union a son, Dennis was born. At the time of their marriage, Marshal was in the Army, Delphine and her two sons lived at the Army Bases where Marshal was stationed. They lived in Germany and eventually Fort Carson at Colorado Springs, CO. Delphine moved to Denver where she worked for Auto Troll. In 1997, she and Dennis left the busy life of the city and moved to Baker, MT where she has made her home. Delphine enjoyed bowling, knitting and crocheting and loved socializing with her friends. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Delphine is survived by her two sons, Wilbur (Josephine) Perry of Dayton, TX and Dennis Scott of Baker, MT; four grandchildren, 11 great-children and one great- great-grandchild; two sisters, Clarabell Headington of Decorah, IA and Barbara Walsh of Chicago, Ill. and one brother, Kenneth Gjere of Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Agnes and two sisters, Janet and Irene.
