A funeral service for Dennis “Denny” Anner, 75, of Dickinson, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Pastor Jerry Sevier officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Dickinson Mausoleum. A luncheon will be held at the Eagles Club following the inurnment. All are welcome.
Visitation for Denny will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 15 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a prayer service taking place at 7:00 p.m.
Dennis James Anner (also known as Denny or Bopper to friends) passed away on Friday, August 25, 2017 in Houston, Texas.
Denny was married to Terri (Stockert) Forster for 37 years. The couple resided in Dickinson, North Dakota.
Denny was raised by William H. and Eva (Glaser) Anner in Dickinson, North Dakota. He played the drums in a band called The Shadows and owned Denny’s Pizza, where he used family recipes for his dishes. Denny started work at Sandy Music Company, moved on to car sales, and eventually retired from Remco Software Company. Never one to sit around, Denny started work at Charbonneau’s Car Center after retirement. Denny enjoyed numerous activities, including: hunting, fishing, bowling, pool, golf and Yahtzee. He had a sharp sense of humor and never met a stranger.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Billy and Dwayne. He is survived by his wife, Terri; sons, Brad Forster, Brent Forster and wife Amy, and Guy Bostock and wife Nancy; siblings, Bobby and wife Mary Ann, Shirley and Eddie Hartman, Beverly Kolling, Sheila and Denny Schloss, and Linda and Frank Fridrich; his two grandchildren, Anthony and Alycia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
