Funeral Mass for Dennis Lee Haller, 54 of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Dennis Schafer, celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph?s Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, May 21, 2006 from 1:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. , continuing on Monday from 8:00 a. m. to 3:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Visitation will continue from 5:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary and Vigil Service led by Deacon Al Schwindt at 7:00 p. m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Tuesday visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Church. Denny passed away Saturday, May 20, 2006 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson after a 2 ? year battle with cancer. Denny was born July 11, 1951 in Dickinson, the son of Joe and Dorothy (Braun) Haller. He grew up and attended schools in Dickinson and Santa Anna, CA. He graduated from Dickinson High School and Electronics Trade School at Denver, CO. Denny returned to Dickinson and began working as a electrician. He was married to June Barta on July 8, 1972 at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Dickinson. To this union, three children were born. In 1974, the family moved to Marshalltown, Iowa where Denny worked at Maulsby Electric for the next year. They moved back to Dickinson where he worked in the electrical field. He began Denny?s Electric in 1978 and operated it with his family until the time of his death. Denny enjoyed woodworking, raising quarter horses and registered rambouillet sheep. He owned and flew his own plane and was an avid gun collector and hunter. He was a member of the Dickinson Rural Volunteer Fire Department for 18 years, trained and certified in HAZMAT, Rural Dive and Rescue Team as well as a recreational scuba diver and an active EMT for the Dickinson Ambulance. Denny enjoyed his Border Collie Dogs along with collecting and working on his Ford Mustangs. He was very proud to be a part of the Dickinson Rural Fire Department and the Diving Team. He played a big part in the many other lives he touched. Helping others was important to him and he will be truly missed by all. Denny had a passion for his electrical work and strived to be the best in his field. He taught his family how to set goals and achieve them. His special love was always for his family and the times they shared. He truly was the source and strength for the family. Survivors include his wife, June Haller, Dickinson; three children: Stephanie (Brian) Kjerstad, Boise, ID, Cory (Joelene) Haller, Dickinson and Danny (Lindsey) Haller, Belgrade, MT; his mother, Dorothy Haller, Dickinson; a brother, Jim (Candace) Haller, Dickinson; a sister, Connie (Dave) Albrecht, Olathe, KS; and two grandchildren, Trevor and Jordan Kjerstad, Boise, ID. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Haller, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vincent and Victoria Barta; grandparents: George and Agnes Braun and Henry and Ann Haller. Memorials may be given to the Dickinson Rural Fire Department or the American Cancer Society. Remembrances and condolences may be shared with the family at:
