Dominick Muth

A Funeral Mass for Dominick Muth, 98, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Keith Streifel celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.


Visitation for Dominick will be 4:00 p. m. – 8:00 p. m. , Monday, December 16th at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil service being held at 6:00 p.m.


Dominick passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at St. Benedicts Health Center in Dickinson, ND.


Dominick was born September 23, 1915, in Dickinson, the son of Nick and Barbara (Weber) Muth. He grew up on the family farm and attended school through the eighth grade. Dominick married Clementine Wanner on October 18, 1938 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dickinson. The couple lived on the family farm with his parents until 1943. They were blessed with four children, Kathleen, Diana, Ronald and Robert. Dominick farmed and raised his family on the farm until 1963, at which time they moved into Dickinson. He then went to work for Dickinson State College. Dominick enjoyed woodworking and ceramics. Dominick was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.


Dominick is survived by his daughters, Kathleen(Wally) Messmer of Dickinson, Diana Senn of Bowman; son, Ronald (Elaine) Muth of Hazen; 15 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Urlacher of Yakima, WA.


He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clementine (2007); son, Robert (Elaine) Muth; son-in-law, Finian Senn; brother, Valentine Muth; sisters, Ida Wanner, Bertha Biel, and Florence Dukart; grandson, Corey Muth; and great-granddaughter, Leiken Kudrna.
