Graveside services for Donald J. Kingsley, 75 of Walla Walla, Washington formerly of Baker, Montana will be 10:00 a. m. Monday, August 22, 2005 at the Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker, Montana. Donald passed away May 29, 2005 in Walla Walla. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, the Kidney Foundation or Walla Walla Community Hospice through the funeral home. Mr. Kingsley was born September 14, 1929, in Beach, North Dakota, to Jake and Bernice Carew Kingsley. He grew up in the North Dakota and Eastern Montana area, graduating from Baker, Montana High School in 1948. After serving in the US Air Force from 1950-1954, serving with honor for one year in Korea, he returned to the Baker, Montana area to a career in banking there and in Miles City, Montana for thirty years. On July 10, 1955, he and Carla L. Manke married in Baker, Montana. To this union, three daughters were born and raised in Miles City. The family moved to the Walla Walla area in the spring of 1989 from Miles City, Montana. As a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church since 1968, he served his Lord and Savior in many official capacities ~ the last office as Treasurer for the Eastgate Seventh-day Adventist Church for nine years. At the time of his death he was a member of the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church. Although unable to attend services, he faithfully watched Blue Mountain Television. Survivors include his wife at home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Jon Coffeen of Walla Walla, Deb Kingsley of Miles City, Montana, and Diana and Steve Carter of Billings, Montana; a sister, Betty Larson of Baker, Montana; four grandsons, Philip and Aaron Coffeen of Walla Walla and Jacob and Nathaniel Carter of Billings. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
