Donald Martin

Don Martin of Somerset, Wisconsin died peacefully at home on Sept. 15, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Mae Martin; and a brother, Larry Martin.


He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Dorothy (Hendrickson) Martin; eight children; nine grand-children; sister, Sister Marie Bernard; brother, Jim Martin; many family and friends; and (Dad’s words) “possibly an adversary or two, and a few people who could care less.” There will be an open house celebration of Don’s life in Somerset on Thursday, October 11.


Interment in Montana on October 13. At 10:30 a.m., at the St. John Cemetery in Baker. Military Rites will be performed by the American Legion Post #60. Memorials may be made to the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota Foundation, (200 Oak Street SE, Suite 500, Minneapolis, MN 55455-2010), or St. Croix Hospice (7200 Hudson Blvd., Suite 100, Oakdale, MN 55128), or a charity of the donor’s choice .
